Even the cold hasn't stopped the redbuds from blooming pretty today.

love the redbud....i didn't get any pics of the daffodils...cecillia picked pretty much all of them & the few charllotte picked she threw in the creek....oh, well :-)
your redbuds are farther along than mine...seems contrary?
the best defense against willy nilly flower picking girls is LOTS of flowers !!!
cecillia found a few surviving daffodils today while i was scouting the property for evidence of other plants....i found peonies :-)

That was the first day the redbuds bloomed, Sally. You should see the wild ones blooming all long the road back here. Just gorgeous.

hart- I was unaware of redbuds as a kid but now love them, there are some on the woods around Baltimore but not in my county. They can be a pretty tough tree but I am fighting canker, so one of my two trees may become a bush. The other tree is having its first really full bloom this year.!
