Gerbera Daisies?

I saw that one of you gals had started some gerberas. I have some seed but am rather intimidated by all the instructions I was given for germination. Do any of you have experience with them, and if so can you give me a few tips?

Lala, there is a thread in the Canadian Gardening forum on Gerbera Daisies. You might find that useful. Sorry I have no clue as to post the link to it.
