Time to disguise an air conditioner.

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 4b)

I want to disguise this air conditioner with most likely an evergreen. I would like something that hides it in all seasons. I want to keep it under 3 1/2 ' so it doesn't cover the window thus it needs to be on the small side. I know I need to keep it away from the air conditioner for circulation. There is only 7' between the house and the patio, which has a wall that is behind that chair. I will look for a photo with that in it. This was taken last summer so the vegetation is accurate as to size.

I had been thinking about a short trellis to put a vine on, but that doesn't take care of the winter.

I am open to ideas other than evergreen , but would prefer it to be a winter cover as well.
