When to prick out new delphinium seedlings?

Marysville, WA(Zone 8a)

I have 3 small trays loaded with tiny 1/2" tall delpinium seedlings from seed I got through Dowdeswell's in New Zealand. Right now they just have their 2 seed leaves, but the trays are shallow so I want to transplant them as early as possible. I thought I remember that delphiniums were difficult to transplant & wondered if it might be easier earlier or a little later. Any thoughts?
Many thanks for your replies.

I think I'd wait till you can see true leaves starting to appear; usually they can take handling better when they've toughened up a bit. If you are good with intricate tasks they should be fine to transplant any time.

gemnisage....is totally correct....I just plucked some fuchsia seeds day before yesterday and they were way to young with only one set of leaves....I have lost half of them already...:-(
