Seed propagator

Shelbyville, TN

Howdy all

Been looking at propagators and the type I see in Europe is what Im trying to find.

Thick walled clear roughly 6" high top over a roughly 14" x 14", 2 to 3" high tray. Any ideas
of anyone selling that style here in the USA?

Thanks

Do you have a link to a picture? I'm much better if I can see a picture rather than read a description. A couple places that are usually good for propagation supplies are Gardener's Supply and Charley's Greenhouse so you might start there and see if there's anything that looks similar.

Both of those have been tried and came up dry.

Here is a link with several units in it.

You might check out www.buzzyseeds.com out of Atlanta, I believe. They have some seed starter kits that look like those in the photo. I have only seen them already with either a flower assortment or an herb assortment, don't know if they sell them without seeds or not.

Muchly appreciated, that one just might do it.

Just spoke with the folks at Buzzy's and it looks like they will be a bit of help.
Again, muchly appreciated.

By a bit of help I mean their unit has a max dome height of about 4", my search is for a unit with
a higher dome.

This one's got a heat mat:

but the dome is 6.5" tall.

I have both the APS units from Lee Valley and Gardener's Supply. I love them, and have excellent results with them! But I have to admit that I I have been getting a few every year, and it seems with the Gardeners Supply units the styrofoam is getting flimsier and easier to break every year. I bought a couple from Lee Valley this year, and they are much, much sturdier. I will be getting those from now on as I replace the broken ones.

The folks at www.buzzy.com have proven to be wonderful to deal with.

Just as an advisory, Parks Seeds has become a nitemare. 4 items ordered, one shipped and it was the wrong item. No one at Parks is able to even give me an idea when or even if the back order would ship. The wrong item was pretty blatant too. Order was on a 16x20 bio dome box. They shipped a 14x9. Dealing with their customer service staff is a true test of patience.

Hi,

I remembered someone looking for the 6" domed starter boxes and I just found some of them at THE GROWERS SOLUTION.

I dont know anything about the company, but it appears they rated 100/100 on the garden watchdog.

Here's their address. Good Luck.
