Well I' am on day 1, and Ihave built a light stand~flat/ or tray holder which can also be a covered in plastic to make a row cover bad lighting in picture but you can check out my website soon www.mygreenhousebiz.com

Looks like you've got your seed starting project under way! I use fluorescents for my indoor seed starting, as well, but my stands are made of PVC pipe.

kyle, I have my lights lower, about 1 to 2 inches above the plants. Yours look a bit high to me.

I also have a PVC stand check out this thread for the directions to make it. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/683374/ 2nd post down.

I like it since I have a damp basement and anything metal rusts. Been using this stand for many years.
