I am planting a pluot tree(basically a Japanese plum tree) in a hole previously occupied by an oleander. The oleander was removed only today. I removed the root ball measuring 2 feet diameter x 1.5 feet deep. Does anyone know whether the toxicity from the oleander's old roots would still be absorbed by the pluot tree?
Steve
