Last year I bought a styrofoam seed-starting kit from Gardner's Supply that worked very well for me. I've read from a lot of sources that sterilizing containers is important before starting seeds. Does anyone know what I should do with these styrofoam kits - can I reuse them?
Sterilizing: can I re-use a foam seed-starting kit?
Sorry no one has answered you yet, I have the same starting unit you have from Gardeners Suppy, I don't use it anymore as my seed starting unit is not very high and the trays you are talking about take up a lot of the highth I need to raise my lights.
Anyway I have dunked the used tray in a bleach and water solution, rinsed well and dry. Reused with out a problem.
Thanks, Ladygardener. I will do the same and reuse them!
