Anyone gotten fruit from fuchsias? It's supposed to be tasty. Many cultivars probably set none, but various species are said to produce fruit with a flavor like "plum with peppery overtones."
Probably next I'll be asking about which podocarpus fruit tastes best. Okay, so I'm weird.
Fuchsia fruit?
Gooley are you taking about the flowering Fushia plant? I nevr knew or hear dof it makign fruit or have I got the wrong Fushia?
Yes, yes, and yes! They are yummy but not to everyone. And you are right that not all of them produce edible or should I say palatable fruit. My favorite is Fuchsia Boliviana! Can't wait for the summer to harvest the fruits of..er..her labor I guess.
The more I read about fuchsias in my part of the world (north Florida) the less I think that they will live for long here. Sigh. The fruit becomes moot, pardon the hokey rhyme.
