Sweet Scarlet Goumi

Saint Clair Shores, MI(Zone 6b)

I'm at that point again where I am considering my spring purchases for another year.
I have tw goumi plants already, one of which has grown very well and blooms each year. The other is very stunted, has only grown to about 2 feet (in 4 years) and has not bloomed at all. I have not had a single fruit in the past 4 years.

I am considering adding a Sweet Scarlet. (or just another seedling goumi) I am wondering what the difference between fruit on sweet scarlet is compared to a regular goumi. Is the fruit better tasting, larger or more prolifically borne? Is the plant precococious?
