Thank you, thank you! I have a friend who wants a cutting from my 'Blue Bird' hydrangea, and I want a cutting from another friend's pink mophead hydrangea. The hardest part will be waiting for the weather to warm up! Tamara
Yes, that is a great article. Using similar techniques I tried rooting 12 cuttings of my 'Blue Bird' Hydrangea this fall and all 12 of them took root! That was in September. Right now they are outside sunk into a bed of mulch. I am sure that our mild fall and winter helped them, because they stayed greed for a long time. It has gotten a little chilly lately so hopefully they are able to survive the winter outside.

can't wait till spring/summer, i'm going to raid my mom's hydrangea.
After you get them rooted how long does it take to move them outdorrs and in the ground ?
