Several of us here in Florida went in on a 50 lb bag and I like it. I put it in potted plants and will be putting some in the holes in the ground when I do my landscaping this spring. I just did a small garden bed for my mother on Saturday and added some to each hole before putting a plant it. Hopefully, it will reduce the amount of watering she will have to do come summer.
We'll see. I would be careful about where it was used though as it does retain water and if it tends to be a wet area already, it could remain too wet depending on what is planted there.
