Can anyone help me with suggestions of fertilizer for my banana plants. I've searched and can't seem to find the correct mix. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Dorothy
Banana Fertilizer
Dorothy,
Bananas are such heavy feeders that you would go broke buying a specialty fertilizer! This article
http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/banana.html
recommends an 8:10:8 NPK fertilizer. You should be able to find that ration at a nursery.
I came across several articles, all with different fertilizer formulas, but I would go with the University of Florida's Extension Service recommendations. The article is full of helpful information.
