Bippity Boppity Boo, just because these were handy, and I feel exactly the same winter weather pangs as you. I have a long time to miss my Irises.

The Lousiana iris does like alot of water, yes. ...and a bit of shade. It'll grow standing in water or in a low to boggy area or soil that can be kept from getting real dry.
