November alpines!

We have yet to have a killing frost in St. John's, Newfoundland. Our extended fall has caused a few alpine (or alpinish) plants to put forth a bloom or two. The Campanula glomerata is blooming again....albeit a poor display, but a bloom is a bloom.

Rhododendron ferrugineum is really confused.

Androsace chaixii..this one behaves as an annual or biennial. I was hoping for the latter so it could set seed but now I will likely loose it.

Allium thunbergii just keeps going and going.

and Papaver atlanticum has been in continuous bloom since late June!

Very nice photos Todd! You're lucky to still have so much in bloom at this time of year. I love the rhododendron ferrugineum - must be a real treat to have that in flower now!
