I've got about eight phals that are growing rather tall and are not setting out any flower spikes. I was wondering if I should cut the tops to promote flowering and if the cuttings would actually root. Have any of you had any experience of this type?
Thanks,
Sal
cuttings from orchids?
Post this to the orchid forum. I am positive however that cutting the tops will not promote spiking. They should begin spiking this time of year. the real experts at that forum can ask the right questions and give you the right advice.
Thank you bbinj, I was looking for that forum last night but failed to notice it. Thanks again, you may have saved me from a serious mistake.
Pleasure.
