This is a strange one...

About 3 weeks ago I lost all the leaves off my Gala apple tree, then about a week ago they started to grow back. Today I noticed that the tree is blossoming! Is this strange or what, to have an apple tree blossom in September?

I'll get pics tomorrow.

Here's a picture taken this morning, September 5. Anyone seen this happen before? Will it hurt the tree? Should I pick the blossoms off?

Wow! I wonder if the new growth is next years crop forced out so the tree can manufacture food for this year. I think I would take the blossoms off so the tree isn't stressed. I'm not an expert, so get more opinions first.

Enjoy the blossoms! This can happen when a plant goes through a long period of very hot weather followed by a period of cool weather. The plant is fooled into thinking it's spring again. No harm done.
