Fig recipes anyone?

Looks like a bumper crop for Brown Turkey figs this year. Though we love them fresh, we're drying some now. Good production from both tubs and in the ground. Delicious!

But we need some creative recipes to enjoy them even more.

First...starve yourself so you can take the calories.

Line a baking dish with figs...belly to belly. Pour enough Port in the dish to cover their bellies about half way up....then bake. Gee, I dunno, until the port is a syrup and the figs are gooey. Serve with Heavy Cream or Creme Freshe.

TO DIE FOR!!!

(I guess the baking time is about 45 mins @ 250deg. If the port evaporates, add more....
