Now on to the Majestic palm,looky what I found

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

On the bottom egg sacs of some kind of insect,with a snail mixed in,we don't have snails in Kansas,just slugs,must came down from florida!!!Just bought some of these palms from Lowes in the spring,I knew they were probably pot bound,but Geews!!!
Tried drowing them again,but mixed in a little Bayer tree and shrub in the water,they came out a running this time,took hose and sprayed them off!!!

Root bound for sure,how much would you root prune???

Overall 5 to 6 ft tall.

I wouldn't root prune at all if I were you..

Agree completely.. you can only hurt a palm by root-pruning it... palms LOVE to be root bound, the more the better (until there is no soil, at least)- if you run out of soil, it is just time to move up to a larger pot, or go in the ground.. but whatever you do, don't unwind the roots or even mess with them in any way (you can hose off bugs though).
