New wild flower find.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

This Downy Milk Pea is growing in the middle of a large Rattan thicket. It has very neat little flowers, I think.

Thank you. We were very happy to find it so close to the house.

I wish stuff like this would find it's way by my house. :o)

Would you like some Rattan seeds for it to hide in?

I do not even know what Rattan is? It looks cool though.

It is kind of similar to a strangler fig in that it tightly wraps around trees and chokes them. It is a very strong vine, one pencil sized can stop a good sized tractor. I have cut trees and had them go up instead of down, as the vines connect many trees together. They also make wicker furniture from it. Trust me, you don't want this plant.

No it does not sound like something I want . Thanks for explaining it to me though.
I would love to find some not so invasive surprises though :o)
