I'm Doing It!

I usually have to order mine through my local feedstore, though I did see a bag of the granules for sale once at K-Mart several years ago.

Thanks Laurie, I've looked but can't find it locally, and Lowe's carries a lot of the Bayer products, but not that one.

I see the granules at Wal-Mart every year, at a good price too. I also see the stuff including the liquid at my local garden center. And speaking about Lowe's, I just saw the grub control granules there yesterday. Doesn't hurt to mention to the dept manager that you like that product and if he could stock it in the future.

Laetitia, thanks, my Walmart does not have it. I did see the bag of grub control for lawns, and that it included the Imidacloprid . It was Bayer Advance Lawn Control. Can that be used on the iris beds? Thanks, Polly

That is exactly what I use. Bayer Advanced Lawn Season-Long Grub Control. Just make sure that the bag contains ONLY imidacloprid (Merit) and no other ingredients.

Thanks again, Laurie! Luckily, so far no borers, but I will put some down preventively next year.
