Has anyone tried tp propagate Echinacea from cuttings taken from the roots? Are there any websites out there that speak to this? Thanks
cuttings from roots
I'm not really a propagator, but my guess is no. I have seen the roots grow without creating shoots. Have you tried rooting cuttings? I don't know if that works either.

There is an article on root cuttings in the month's Fine Gardening that I just got today. Echinacea is not listed in the chart of plants in the article. Seeds are probably easiest. SB
Are you talking about division? I've divided them before if the plant was large enough but it had leaves.
I don't think she is - you can really divide them small as I have cut them and pulled them apart very small.
