Does anyone grow sugarloaf pineapples?

I am about to buy three small Sugarloaf pinapples and was wondering if anyone else grows them with any success? All replies welcome.

I don't see why they wouldn't do as well as any other pineapple. It is just a cultivar of the standard Ananas comosus. Farily recently, the taxonomic gurus of the Bromeliad world decided that all the Ananas species are really just varieties of comosus except sagenarius (which used to be in the genus Pseudananas).

We grow them. No differently than any other pineapple....JUST the same. Only difference is that the Sugarloaf is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMUCH BETTER!
