Thought that I might start a new thread since the other has gotten so long. Here is my little beauty in her new pot. It's about an inch bigger, added sand and perlite. She's been lifted and sits now in the shade for the next few days.
My adenium
You definitely have some flower buds there. Congrats! Post flower pics when they open, please!
Awesome!!
I look forward to the blooms!!
That is so pretty! Yes, I see buds. Please post again when she blooms. I love that shape.
I was just 'googling' around, trying to find some info on my new varigated adenium when I came upon the other and longer thread on adeniums on the same forum! This is amazing!! So much info and so many pictures of adeniums. I bought a varigated one from Brad's buds and bloom. It is called 'star of daybreak'. This will make four that I have purchased. Does this tell anyone anything?LOL
Here is my flowering one.....
larry
They are both lovely, Larry! Are those indoor plants? They would probably love some of that sunshine and heat you've got right now outside, but if they have been inside for awhile, they will need to be acclimated slowly so that they don't get burned leaves. I really like the shape of your Walmart one.
Ah Clare, I love it. I am actually watching a Noble Concubine on Ebay right now.
Clara,
Love your plants! Both, in fact, all of my adeniums are in my 'florida room'.(loosely applied).LOL
Lisa(rylaff) your adenium's caudices(think that is correct) are great. It is one the reasons that I have started a collection, slowly!
Larry
Thanks, Larry!
Lisa, I hope you get that NC because I think you will love it. It is a great bloomer and stunning to look at. I could really go crazy collecting adeniums, but I am so short on room that I can't, but I had to have this one and Harry Potter also. I agree that your caudices (or caudexes) are awesome! Here is NC today.
For some reason my NC wont open alll the way.
She is more of a trumpet bloom than flat faced like all the pics I see of her.
First bloom in PA syndrome lol!!
Next round will be better im sure.
Arrogant is blooming like shes going out of style.
Hey Malestrom,
How about pictures, fellow pa'er?
And watch that heat!!

Ah Clare,
We have similar tastes. Harry Potter is the other one I am watching on Ebay.
Malestrom,
That is one beautiful and healthy plant!!! How old is it, you know, measurements? Thanks for the pictures!
Larry
Hey you Desert Rose growers if i ask you all what would be the top 5 plants in any collection could you all provide me here with your lists?
I spoke to my Thai friend and she said when i go down to see her i can pick 3 or 4 plants of my choice in her collection. She said some of them are from Thailand.I did some email marketing for her and it brought her many customers and she wants to give me some plants since i didn't take any money from her..
To be honest i am not really sure if i want to bring more plants in my yard lol..
Anyone have a list for me?
Thanks!
Ill be making one. ;^)
Michael, those are gorgeous pics!
Lisa, Harry Potter is a really pretty flower. I hope you won those auctions. If not, Brad's Buds and Blooms sells them: http://bradsbudsandblooms.com/index.php?cPath=22&osCsid=336de343859d9295f36315932105ea44
Robert, Top 5 adeniums you mean? Hmmm...I only have Noble Concubine and Harry Potter and a bunch of seedlings so I haven't seen any others in person, but I'd say those two plus anything lavender or purple! Here is Kukiat's picture of adeniums in a nursery in Thailand.
Clare, thank you for the link.
If I had only 1 adenium it would be this one
I have no clue where I got this picture from
Credits to whomever it belongs to.
Id pay dearly to aquire this one for its beauty and hybridizing qualities
In addition to this, I love Arrogant and Harry Potter next.
I hate HPs name, I wish it were different but the flowers and bloom habit are just outstanding.
Arrogant is #1 in my book, unless I aquire the one in the photo lol!!
I also have a fried who has one that reports to smell of rootbeer.
She sent me a lovely cutting and im trying to root it.
Keeping my fingers crossed.... :^)

Very nice Melanie!
I dont know why they do that
My Nobile Concubine is doing it too.
Be happy that yours flowered lol!!
I have ones ive been waiting on for 2 seasons now Hmmmm.....
Theyll bloom this summers end probably.
lovely flowers, Melanie
That picture is so tiny that it is hard to see the caudex. The leaves are very pretty. I have no idea how much it would cost, but it is probably not inexpensive.
It will cost the farm and then some
Unless the seller is uneducated
Id expect at least $100.- if it is under 3 years old.
Was it priced?
