Bingo!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

None for me today...;(

Cincinnati, OH

Im putting out good vibrations, shes sending me excitations.............Wildbob, are you a Beach Boys fan? A friend of our is a high roller at one of the casinos, and he got us VIP tickets to see them when they were here. It was the best concert I have ever been to. It was like our own private concert. We were 2 rows from the stage, and I think the theater only seats 3,000. AMAZING.

Was the gift starter plant named yet since bingo started?

Thanks,

Joanne

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

scroll up a bit, Joanne -- its name is Powder Keg! :-)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

When I talked to her a little bit ago, I read Janis today's Bingo calls, and she didn't think she had either of them -- but Crimson Ice turned out to be on her list! Thanks, Don, for getting her card out to me so quickly! I just hope I don't miss posting if she wins by not being online early enough that day.... I won't give away her number, but she is closer to 15 than I am! :-)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Oh, and let me add that I have printed out both of our Bingo cards now, in case of computer mishap! LOL

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

Don't worry, Jill. I'll have her back too.

Don did post the actual list of the players. I think there are 26,27 of us . So you never know !

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Oh and I forgot to mention I am down to three....so keeping my fingers crossed!

Joanne

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

WOW Joanne you are close !
Good luck everyone.
If I win I may pay shipping and doante it to someone :))
But I'd sure like to try one of those water maid things. And I love markers. lol

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Morning Allison,

Yes but who knows how fast it can change. I would love to try that water maid thing as well. Sounds really kewl! I would like to try the Optimara fertilizer as well.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Joanne

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I like Optimara fertilizer it's really good ! I also enjoy Perter's African violet food. Have you ever tried it ?
Eleanor's VF-11 is great but right now the time of my life cost too much.
I also am trying Dyna-Gro their bloom food. The middle number is only 12. I feel it would help with variegation as too much nitrogen can make them all green and I already have the heat doing this.
I also like it for my Streptocarpus plants !
I final got a bottle at a good price though shipping made it high cost more than product. and I spilled half the bottle down the sink :((

Dayton, OH

good morning everyone.well we are getting close. i have 5 to go.. good luck joanne , if i may call you that.lol i really like bingo. puts a little excitement in my day. i look forward to the picks each day ,brite and early. hehehee. allison , what kind ofplant food is it that also protects ferom bugs for three months. that sounds really good. i would like to try it. so far i havent seen any bugs, but i really dont know what they look like.lol. good luck every one.its another beautiful day today.hehehehe wild bob

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Morning!

Allison, I have tried Peter's but of course we can't get it here anymore....everything is Plant Prod now. I haven't tried Dyna Gro but I think I have one of those somewhere...LOL! Peter's also has one for variegated 5-50-17 but I have not tried it either. I am using Eleanor's VF-11 on my Ghost Orchid and it just loves it!!! I almost lost it and then started spraying it with Eleanor's VF-11 and it is so very happy now.

Bob, of course you may call me Joanne. I have three to go so will see what happens...not like I need anymore violets. With all the leaves and all the plants I have got from Allison, I got more than enough now.

I also enjoy the bingo, gets that adrenalin going!

It is supposed to be +35 Celsius so that is very hot! We live in a valley so the heat just hangs here. Supposed to be really hot the next few days so will go out early and get home before it gets too hot. We have central air conditioning thank goodness, but my power bill last month was 200.00 so I am trying to cut back a bit. Need more money for African Violets....LOL!

Have a great day and a super weekend everyone and good luck to everyone!

Joanne

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Joanne our Electric bill was $200.00 last month too. We could not live without A/C I would not be able to breath. Then we had to get the electric turned on at the other home. They charge close to $30.00 to turn it on and we had to pay a $375.00 deposit. That's what they say is a two month average bill over there. Deposit here was only $150.

But there is no way Robert can work over there without A/C as it is he put a room A/C in the window to save $$$ and does not run the Central A/C to save money and turns the electric off whenre he leaves.
Who nows what this month will be it's been even hotter. Yikes.

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

ohhhhhh allison that deposit is horrible! when we moved our deposit was 150.00 and that was bad enough but 375.00 is outrageous!!!!! how do they get away with charging like that! it is soooooo expensive to move.

kelly

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I've got 6 remaining on my list, so I'll be cheering on the leaders for this game!

I'm guessing somebody will get BINGO very soon.... what fun!

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi Allison,

Oh my...that is really dear for a deposit! I think it is something like 200.00 here! I know we leave in a valley and the heat just stays here and it never cools off at night either. We could not live without the air conditioning either....we would never be able to sleep!

Well I am down to 2 so there must be a few waiting for 1 I am thinking. I hope someone who doesn't have many violets wins.

Well off to have lunch as my blood sugar is very low.

Good luck everyone!

Joanne

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

It sure surprised me Kelly.
Nob that was the soil mixure Nayer advance 3 in one. I love it. Hubby mixes 10 quart with I think its 8 quarts of perilite. I enjoy working with this ! BUT I got to use it for 3-4 months I went threw bags trans-planting all older plants and lots of leaf pots trans-planted. Then we could not get anymore. I think our lowes here stopped ordering it :((
Thank goodness to Stephanie as she was kind enough to buy some and ship them to me :))
My plant stands and light fixtures are down and all cleaned up.
Now after one full month I will see the difference on Ele. Bill.
I don't thing lights cost much to run,

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Joanne our plants must have A/C too or it will just get too hot for them .
Well I will say I did not get any Bingo picks today.
Joanne I feel the same way. Hope someone that does not have a lot of plants win :))

Crossville, TN(Zone 6b)

I am the more quieter players. I will confess to needing 4 to win.

We cool/heat by natural gas. We were locked in for the year at $1.85 gal. It is now 2.35. That will be $12 more a month for us. July is our settlement month for the year. We had to pay an extra $200 to catch up. We have double insulation in our home; but, it has been so hot and dry this year. I am happy just to have the A/C that I can't complain.

Linda

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi Allison,

Well if I happen to be lucky enough to win...I will give the leaves to someone who doesn't have many...the fertilizer and water maid I will keep for myself...

Thanks to you I have more than enough plants and leaves. It is so very hot here today...on the deck it is 95 already!!!

I agree with you all...we need our air conditioning and so do our babies!

Joanne

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

Very Hot here too, and I will agree with the rest of you, A/C is a must. Our temps are supposed to soar into the 40's this weekend which is 100 + in Farenheit. Without AC, I would be a limp noodle. Yuck!!!

Don Ü

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi Don,

We must be having the same weather! I would be baked for sure and very cranky too I might add...LOL!

Try to keep cool Don! Not healthy temps that is for sure.

Gee we just had a power dump....scary stuff. I have UPS and the computer still went out on me but the UPS must have kicked in somewhere because it came back as I was typing to you...weird!!!

Joanne

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

Still have 5 on my list...crossing my fingers for a miracle. lol jk

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Us quite players might be catching up.LOL.
