Are there any palms native to the Galapagos islands? I did a quick Google search and couldn't find mention of any.
Galapagos palms
I don't think so.
I looked high & low and couldn't find any reference. Of particular I referred to MOBOT: http://www.mobot.org/mobot/research/ecuador/welcome.shtml
There's one palm on the Juan Fernandez Islands to the south but I couldn't find anything for Galapagos despite the city name of Las Palmas. I'm going to check the library at the botanical gardens tomorrow as I know there's a few books on plants of the Galapagos. An email to MOBOT would definitely get you a correct answer.
