Help! I have purchased 17 bare root roses from www.parkwholesalegrowers.com. They arrived sooner than I expected and are submerged in my bathtub, soaking for 48 hours. What I need to know is what is the very best potting medium I can use? I have year old rabbit manure, MetroMix360 soiless medium, vermiculite, perlite, and a bale of spaghnum peat. Should I use any addatives? These roses are in superb condition, and ordinarily I could not afford them so I really want to do the right thing. I have also emailed Diana T, but she not get back to me soon enough. Suggestions, please?
potting up bare root roses
I buy lots of roses each year wholesale from Park's- which of course that web site isn't they're real wholesale site but something they threw together a little over a month ago to move inventory. I've had great success using any potting medium, nothing special.
