Hi All:
Thought I'd post some pics of the gardens. Shaping up to be a good year.
Here's "Herb Alley"
Rosemary, Oregano, Sweet Majoram, Mint, Thyme with a few patio tomatoes thrown in.
My wife has an Angel Trumpet behind the herbs and a large pot with Moonflowers and sweet potatoe vines
Here's Mrs. B's regular Basil collection. She likes to grow some near the house so she doesn't have to trudge all the way down the hill to gather.
Here's Mrs B's Mother's day gift. A day lily bed. That's a River Birch on the left.
Remind me to tell you the story of the Thanksgiving River Birch massacre. I'm lucky to still be alive.
Here's the front veggie beds
Tomatoes on the left and middle. Sunflowers on the right
The sunflowers are doing quite well
Wow, those pictures are beautiful!!! You must never want to leave home, it looks so peaceful there. Nice job.

Well I finally kept the deer from eating them, so I think I'll get a few berries this year
Here are the back gardens
Brandywine, Early Girl, Ichiban Eggplant, Kentucky Wonder Beans and Beets
Various varieties of peppers and some patty pan squash
Rutgers. Only tomato I brought as a plant. All the rest were started from seed
Orange King Maters: They are doing very, very well.
Nice looking gardens and plants Bronx! Ahhhh, summertime...and the livin's easy!

Pole Beans (Fortex), Green, Yellow and Patty Pan Squash. Several variety of potatoes
Marzano Paste tomatoes. I see a sauce in my future!

Green Bean Lane with some cukes thrown in for good measure

Cabbage, Sweet Corn and cukes.
Wally world was giving those cabbage seedlings away. They are supposed to get huge. That is a 2 gallon watering can in the picture.
And I don't know what this pest is but it better stay off Mrs Bronx's Hosta

Great garden! I especially like that pest in Ms. B's hostas. Is he/she a bull mastif? We had some similar pests that I had to keep fenced out -- shown below 'helping' construct greenhouse frames: Claudius = tan bull mastif 150 lbs.; Julius = gray Neopolitian mastiff 170 lbs.
I noticed with our garden as time goes on the raised beds get bigger & bigger. They went from 4' wide to 14' wide to 20' wide! Did you have a similar experience? Joze

All the maters I get this year will all be due to DG. This was my first time raising then from seed and I had a near disaster. But DG talked me down from the ledge and as you can see, all turned out ok.

Pretty much work in it all day on Saturday. It's great. No phones, No computers. Just me and the dirt and the plants. Don't have to do too much during the week. A little watering or adjusting the tomato plants.

Yes she is Bull Mastiff. I love yours. How old are they? Ours is only about 100 pounds. We also have a yellow lab. Our biggest problem with him is keeping him out of the pool. LOL

Thanks. This is by far the largest garden we have had and the advice I have gotten here has so far led to it being a successful year.
