Drool..Drool..Drool. Love your last picture. What a beautiful sight to look out too. You should have entered that photo in the Dg contest.
Thanks for sharing all your beautiful Irises with all of us!
Marilyn
i did enter the photo contest but i never win- i didnt use this picture as an entry
I love irises almost as much as daylilies. The irises just don't last long enough.
Your pics are awesome!
Dori, you never said if any of them are rebloomers.......
yes i have some rebloomers in there-not sure how many!
er, which ones are rebloomers?
Hi Notmartha:
Your pictures are lovely. Just thought you might want to know: number 44 is QUAKER LADY, not Gypsy Queen.
Laetitia
thanks but are you sure becuz an Iris guy from Washington gave me those! I know they can look a lot alike just like daylilies!!
how can i be sure!!??
Dori, just what I needed on this cold morning! I love seeing all those blooms and dreaming of the coming Spring!
Not Martha:
Yes, I am SURE that your Gypsy Queen is Quaker Lady. They don't look at all alike, but are of the same vintage, so I guess they could have gotten mixed up in the donor's garden. You can check this for yourself if you look thru the plant files here at Dave's garden. They show good shots of both GQ and QL.

Dori, do you have Blue KY Girl? I want to add this one to my iris collection. Wonder why? It blooms taller than most iris.

When we visted Iris City they had a row that was blooming! They had sold out all of the Blue KY Girls that were in pots and didn't want to dig in the field. I bought Fade to Black from them and cannot wait to see it this Spring.
teresa no i dont have that one -sorry
Dori--lovely iris photos! Thank you for brightening up a winter night.
Dori,
Thanks also for the "summer pics." Love your historics. I have an old iris that I saved from my grandparents iris patch that I thought I had killed off in my shed (forgot about it for a couple of years) but it was strong and flourished, so now I grow it and share it with my sisters and daughters. Here is a pic of it. I think in my research I found that it was 'Flavescens.' Here's a pic of my iris. Do you agree with 'Flavescens'?
Thanks, Laura
Dori,
One more pic...this one was given to me by an older friend about 20 years ago and has been a very strong grower and very fragrant. She couldn't remember the name and the lady she had gotten it from had just passed away when I started my search. I think I have it narrowed down to either 'Sir Michael' or 'Royal Summer'. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks, Laura
OMG. Those were just gorgeous!! I have "iris envy". :-) Rock star and Mtn Melody are my faves. I'll be looking for those in the spring!
LoraB.
Laura I have NO idea what yours are-I just collect and enjoy LOL
I think this yr im going to have to divide them! ;)
NotMartha,
All the pictures you posted are beautiful, especially the last one showing the rows of Iris.
