I am suppose to plant 10 named day lilies and 10 oriental lilies for my friend. She wants the ones with fragrance planted on the left and the others on the right................

HELP which ones would be considered the fragrant collection? She ordered them from QVC and the packaging does not say which ones are the smelly ones.

Did you guess I am new to this gardening stuff?????? Rachel

The oriental lilies will be the highly scented ones.

As well, the day lilies need more water than the orientals. They are different kinds of lilies and behave differently.

If you google day lily and oriental lilies, you should find lots of info about the different things needed for their cultivation.inanda

The orientals will come as bulbs and those would be the ones that should be on the left. The daylilies will come as a live plants with fans or bareroot. The are easily distinguishable from one another. Did she tell you how far apart or how deep to plant the orientals?
