Zephyranthes - Rain Lily

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

What a wonderful surprise to walk out my front door and be greeted by a Rain Lily. This one is a volunteer of sorts as I didn't plant it. It shows up from time to time.

I started some from seeds a few years ago and they are in a pot and have yet to bloom. I'm getting exasperated and considering dividing the clump and planting them throughout the yard.

Aren't surprise flowers the best? Very pretty.

Indeed Moby .. i just wish the ones i started from seed would get a move on. Perhaps they just need a few years to mature before flowering .. i don't really know .. but I'm liking the idea more and more about dotting them around the yard.
