Stock

Columbia Heights, MN(Zone 4a)

Can anyone tell me about Stock? I picked up a nine-pack at the nursery yesterday and none of the packs had any of those plastic tags with instructions. It's about six inches tall and already blooming. Does this bloom all summer or is it more like a pansy and only blooms in cool weather? Would this do well in a container? Wonderful scent. Reminded me of cloves.

They are easy care, scented flowers. Some varieties are taller than others; ranging from about 12"- 2' in my experience. They have average water needs. I grow them over the winter here but they are one of my favorite annuals to grow along with these pink snapdragons.

They're a cool late spring / early summer bloomer.; not all summer. I have evening scented stock and regular stocks, and only the e.scented is blooming. I also have Virginia Stocks blooming but that's a different genus.
