i am planning on building an outside propagation misting system. my medium will be a mixture of small bark chips and sand. a table to hold the cuttings in flats (24 2.5" x 3.5" per flat), heavy plastic for the wind and holding moisture in, and a misting system out of pvc and some spray nozzles i got at a yard sale. anyone else already have a similar setup that would like to post pics and/or ideas? thanks - jon
Cutting/Propagation Setup ?
jon, in my dreams.
Jon, I propagate many plants each year outside by seed and cuttings. I have no misting system; I just use a spray from a garden hose or a very simple PVC system. With our heat and humidity, it seems to make it a bit easier to propagate plants. My favorite pasttime is propagating woody plants. We live in Hydrangea heaven. Good gardening.I
hey peony01, i just planted 7 hydrangeas this w/e....hydrangea heaven is right. how many times a day do you spray your cuttings? i work full time (i dream of gardening full time) so not @ home during the day.
