This is called aquilegia Little Lanterns and I like it very much as it is very small and looks like a species. Could anyone recommend any others for small spaces?

There is a HUGE discussion on columbines on the Canadian forum but mostly they deal with the larger ones. I have several small ones. This is A. flabellata 'Mini Star'

All the previous are under 6". This one is A. viridiflora. It reaches about 9-12" and is quite fragrant.

Galanthophile.,

I enjoy Aquilegia triternata.
It grows to 10" here in Zone 4, and
is quite charming.

Thanks so much Todd and Corinne - they are great. I have had viridiflora before and the scent is fabulous. I love that callimero - that is my idea of a perfect small aquilegia!
