Would any one like a fan of this?

Athens, OH

I dug up a few for trade and have 1 extra, very vigorous fan.

Would love to trade for any other historic iris or fragrant iris fan.
I could dig up more if anyone is interested. It is a very vigorous plant and smells wonderful!

The stalks are bout 2.5-3 feet high.

Hi Roxanne,
I have a Joyce Terry Iris. I would like to trade for a few. Do you know the name of yours?

We don't know the name. It has been growing in the neighborhood for many years according to one neighbor.
Our neighbors give it to all the new neighbors as a welcome gift.
I can send a few fans if you are still interested.

I have a historic iris but not sure of the name it is a silvery blue color. I know its been around since the mid 1800's as a picture of the rental house we have had pics of them with the house when it was first built.

Rox ~ your Iris looks very much like my Horny Lorri but without the 'horns'.

Moby-
I like the horns!
It does look a lot like your iris. Is yours also very fragrant? It is somewhat reminiscent of grapes.

Winnie-
I will dig some out tonight to ship tomorrow.

Yes, I could go with 'somewhat reminiscent of grapes' only because I have some of those old lavender ones that really do smell like grapes!

Does your iris ever have those protrusions from the beard?

Athens, OH

Moby-
I don't remember seeing any protrusions, bu I'll keep an eye out for the "horns".
