Looks like it could almost be an iris relative. How big is the actual flower?

Not yet. I have seed that say's it's for Romulea sp. color/blue from the second round of NARGS seedex. I'm betting it's bulbocodium. I'm hoping the seed will be OK until next year. Any tips on germination?

That's a beautiful color of blue and contrasts nicely with the yellow eye.

Go on then Todd - you know you want to! They are very hardy for me anyway.
I also had a yellow form - Romulea macowanii alticola that flowers in the autumn - but I'll have to wait to see if it will come up as I moved a great many plants this spring in my raised bed...
