Bug ID

Olympia, WA(Zone 8b)

I just saw the sstrangest bug. Its a crawly/flying thing. It has an oval back, about 1/4" x 1/8". The oval has a perfect "X" of white on its back. The sides of the " X " are rust/reddish, there is a small spot of black at the top of the "X", and the bottom of the "X" is black. Then I saw it fly/hop?, could it be some form of ladybug??

I don't know what kind of bug you have, but there are two possible places where there are people who might know. The first is the Garden Foes forum and the other would be the Identification forum. I sure hope you found one of the good guys. Dotti

Bluebytes... Did it look like this? OMG what a long URL. Hope it works. If not just go to google images and put in lady bug larva. That's how I found it.
While I'm here, I took of picture of the Buckley Muck that some kind of mole pushed up. (below in picture) It's 18" across and the hole under it was about 5-6 inches. We have NEVER seen a mole hole like this. Any ideas?

Nope, link did not work, sorry :( Thanx for trying. Was it dark gray, with paddle like feet with little nails, and a pointy little nose??
