Hi All,
Just when my Climbing Hydrangea finally established itself and started climbing up my Linden, the tree up and died! Delayed effect of the drought of four years ago, according to my extension. Anyway, any suggestions for the hydrangea? Can it be saved and transplanted? How do I remove it from the linden without tearing it apart and killing it? Anyone ever done this? Thanks in advance.

I've grown vines up a dead plum tree--I just cut the tree down to only the height I needed it leaving the branches for the vine...it's still holding up. I'm not sure how brittle dead Linden trees are....
