I posted this a fews days ago in the NE gardening forum and it was suggested I try over here for more and/or better replies.
Anybody with experience growing apples in eastern MA? Thinking about a dwarf or semi-dwarf tree (or trees) for the backyard. Do I need two for pollination? And what about trees grafted with multiple varieties? Sources for trees in the area? Will I need to be spraying? I read that April is a good time to plant trees so timely replies are appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
