It's just the beginning - I LOVE iris season.
No iris blooms yet But I'm ready!
Thanks to all for sharing your pictures .
I use to go on all the iris gardens in the area
and on buss tours .
But my body just wont go?
so most of my garden joy
is coming from these wonderful pictures
Me too Tazzy! I wander everyone's gardens in wonder and gratitude.

Welcome to DG, Becky!
Welcome Becky! We've all killed some - or they died an honest death :-) But we do our best. I know that you'll enjoy it here.
My friend's grandpa used to say you can't call yourself a gardener until you've killed at least one plant...
Now that photo of Red Heart makes me really jealous. What a wonder these SDB are. They seem to perform their little hearts out!
And Red Heart was included in the Median Co-op! I didn't order that one and wish I had!
Sue, did I give you that "Red Heart"? It's incredible!!! Mone is getting ready to bloom, but not so heavily.
I have just 6 dwarfs blooming. Your "Making Eyes" was first....
Yeppers! They came from you, well.............. 2 rhizomes did and it went crazy! Baby Blessed increased almost as much as Red Heart. The others multiplied like you would expect them to.
Still have one SDB to open a blossom, I was gone yesterday so will have to go out and look this morning, it was showing color Thursday evening.
Hello ladies
Thanks for all of the welcomes. I was wondering if any of you could susjest some iris for my neck of the woods. Im in zone 3b i think it was.and can grow some things that are for zone 4. Thanks so much in advance. Also if i could bother ya for a minute here..i found this plant at our creek and was wondering if anyone knows what it could be? I think it looks like maybe a wild raspberry?
Thanks
Becky

Very pretty.

Wild Willow - as far as I know (from my Zone 9 ignorance and a little research) you can grow Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris. I don't know about other medians. There are some colder area folk here who could probably help you with those.
Hello Doss
Thanks i shall look for some. And try and find the colder area forums LOL
Thanks again
Becky
You could send an Email to Denise at Snowpeak. She belongs here and is always willing to be helpful.

My dwarfs are popping open all over the place--new ones every day. How I love spring!
And the Iowa Round up pre-festivities in less than 48 hours.....
Have a great time Wanda. I'm sure that you will.

Laurie is a good one. She grows in another cold place.
We can never have enough of someone saying that they are thankful for this place. Blessings should always be counted - and then counted again.
