marigold question

i bought a 6 pk of dwarf african marigolds.. can they grown on the west side of the house with sun only from 1p-6p?

They like full sun, but afternoon sun is much stronger than morning sun, so I would give it a try-esp if it is those hrs that you said. You won't have to water as much as if they were in full ( 8 hr) sun!!

Marigolds are pretty easy (I grow about 20 different kinds of marigolds). I think 5 hours would be ok for you. Plus your climate in TX probably better not to have full day of sun. Try to dead head for continuous flowering. They are such a happy plant!
