I had two high bush blueberries -don't know what kind they came with the house- but they were two different types. The first year all was fine but last year one died so I am looking to replace it. I am worried that if I get a later season blueberry neither one will produce since I think the one I have is an early-mid producer.
Give me the scoop - what kind/type should I buy to ensure pollination?
Thanks -Kim
Highbush Blueberry Pollination ?
Blueberries are self-fertile, but having a cross-pollinator does create larger and earlier-ripening berries. Pick something like "Bluecrop" or "Patriot" if they are hardy for your area.
Well, I bought a Blueray. They seem to do well here so I went for it.
Thanks!
