Can anyone give me some help regarding starting these from seeds? I gathered some from my friendly neighbors plants and want to start some of my own. He just has the one small plant, so couldn't share it yet. The color of the flower was unusually on the pink side.
I need to know if I can start these inside, outside, covered and how long for germination. Any info would be appreciated.

Crocosmia seeds
SoCal: According to Thompson & Morgan Crocosmia takes approx. 30 - 60 days to germinate. You should only just lightly cover the seed with 1/16 " soil. The seed needs light to germinate. The best temperatures for germination are between 55 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit
Thank you so much Frank. I will be starting some today.
