Are zinnia seeds save-able?
Last fall I harvested the seeds of a particularly beautiful coral-colored zinnia which grew from a "Shades of Pink" mixture. I have a seed-saving kit which includes small tins, glassine envelopes, dessicant, etc.
Will I get plants? Will the flowers be the same color?
zinnia
They are viable. The flowers may not be the exact same the 1st year, but pretty darn close. I do save seeds for about 3 years, then toss them and start all over.
