Sofer,
Caught Boston Legal last night,,,,LOL It's a good one,,,always makes me laugh.

Denny Craig! It is way off the page on humor and sometimes it bothers me but I do laugh.
I love the conversation they have at the end of the show always in the chairs on the deck with the cigars. Its a guy thing. We all need a fire to gather around at the end of a day.

Love the character James Spader plays,,,,again,,,a little off the page humor,,,but it is funny.

This is a great picture of Mars and Venus. I'm not joking about men. We have since the beginning always gathered after a day of hunting, fighting wars, clubbing women, and settled our emotions and dispensed our anger. We no longer have a fire pit in life so we gather at the bars, coffee shops, or other place of gathering and let down. Too bad there are no more battles on a daily basis and we men are out of our natural selves.

I'm glad to be a woman. Most of our early surviving skills still help us survive in today's world.

Men need fire. Huuuurragh.

Sofer,
Clubbing women??? I Hope you're talking about Night Clubs,,,,LOL

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

You don't probably remember that cave man show in the 60's. "Its about time" but the men never had to get married they just carried a club signifying their rule. And the wife (Imogene Coca) kept her man under her thumb and ruled. It was a riot.

Wasn't that a continuing bit in the Sid Ceaser Show?

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I don't know i could have been Sid ceasar who was the husband. It was the first show that protrayed the woman as strong and resiliant. It remided me of the Rosanne show many years later.

Sofer,
No, I don't remember it,,,was only a wee child in the 60's,,,born in '64,,,but sounds funny,,,LOL

Four out of 5 American women control the family pocketbook. Carry a big club or the checkbook?

And what's with men not "making the committment" aka "getting married" today? I see my daughter's friends moving in and out with "fiances"--relationships that bear children, but not a marriage license. Is it a relationship doomed to fail so not worthy of soceity's notice or doomed because a lack of committment from the beginning on both sides? I hear too many"We'll wait until the baby is one/two years old before the wedding"--a wedding that never occurs.

I read that kids are getting married later--but with how many kids in tow from how many "fiances"? Scares the devil out of me!

The best way to destroy the protection of this world is to eliminate family, commitment, and the deep intamacy of a life long lover. I call the one who does this to us 'butt Head" others call him Satan.

I guess it's easy for me to see what the young are doing wrong from the ripe old age of 56. I'm sure Mom and Dad worried about me & my siblings too, but we had proper guidelines and an example.

I think we women were sold a bag of liles when they told us we could "have it all" in the Sexual Revolution. It looks to me like the girls these days are "having it all" without the protection & solidity of a husband and society. I know the fights I had with our daughters because of my "unenlightened ways".

Becoming a mother at an older age gave me a chance to see what was going wrong in many of families around me. I could not be a "friend" to my daughters in high school--I had to be a "mom".
