Suggestions for zone 9 CA

Hi,
Hope you guys can help me. I am looking for palms to go by my swimming pool in CA zone 9. I want something like a windmill palm. One will be planted in the ground and one in a large pot. I don't want the ones that get 50 feet tall but tall enough that the kids won't run into them. I really don't know anything about palms so any advice would really help me. I want the tropical look around the pool.

Phoenix, Butias, Braheas, Sabals, Trachycarpus will all do well there and are common. Some Phoenix sp. will eventually get very tall, but most will take 30 years to get 50' tall. Phoenix roebellenii is a common one for planting around pools
