Shades of Spring Past...

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

With all the snow burying my garden, I couldn't help gazing at pictures of my spring iris garden and dreaming of 2006....

And more Tall Beardeds showing off despite the late frosts...
Anyone else have iris garden photos for us to enjoy?

Love those iris! I've rearranged some of my iris clumps to make room for more lilies in the back rows. I'll be interested to see what this year brings...

Those pictures are to die for! Thankyou so much for a reminder of spring on this one more grey rainy day!

Lebanon, OR

Here in the lower Williamette Valley of Oregon we have had very strong gusty winds causing some damage here.

RAIN and more rain, right now read that we are about 8" over normal to month and about 11" over the season total and the season started Oct. 1...hope to see an end soon.

Feb is traditionally the wet month...

dee~

Well, as long as it doesn't do what it did to us last year. My irises did especially poorly!

tazzy~

Great picture. I love LA's, but I don't grow any (yet, hehehe) I was wondering if I set up a couple of old kiddie swimming pools, could I grow them in there? What do you think?

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

flowerfrenzy--I love the color combos on your dwarfs! I put in 30 new SDBs this summer & am looking forward to their blooms in the spring.

Tazzy, I planted the LAs you gave me at the MO Round Up in low areas of my yard. (Lots of clay to hold in the water) Too lazy to bury kid's pools. I hope they make it....

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

la itis do great in kiddie pools ;
i use the fiberglass ponds , then put big pots with clay and La iris in them have pump and no fish so can just put fertlizer in water and i have 5 foot LA. iris
