Viola and Pansy from cuttings?

Have you ever propagated Viola and Pansy from cuttings?
I had long been thinking that Viola and Pansy could only be grown from the seeds.
Last year a friend of mine told me about the way to propagate them from cuttings.
I tried and had a big success.
