Here are some pictures I took this morning of 2 pods from Asclepias curassavica.

Opening still further. At this point you can start to see what I fondly refer to as the white flying fluffy stuff....

Here I have opened the bottom pod a bit further for a better look.

In this one I have removed the white fluff with the seeds still attached. I have found that this is the point in which it is easier to remove the seeds from the fluff before it dries and becomes flyaway.

This picture shows the seeds easily separated from the "fluff" You can see in this picture how the fluff is already starting to dry and separate.

This last picture is some of the dried "fluff" which in nature would be carried by the wind with the seed attached like little helicopters. LOL
