Crinums and crepe myrtles?

I have a crinum that needs to be moved. I want to put it in a spot where it will have room to spread unhampered. This is the second time I have had to dig it up. This takes way too much energy.LOL So if I put this next to a crepe myrtle will either of them be too much competition for the other?

Got me....believe it's too cold here for either of them. Have you tried the Texas forum? I'll bet you could get some good advice there in a jiffy.
